CENTURION POWER & EQUIPMENT (UK) DELIVERS INSPECTION SUPPORT FOR SAFETY-CRITICAL EQUIPMENT

Centurion Power & Equipment (UK) has delivered on time and within budget for an ongoing project to provide safety-driven inspection services and critical equipment to support the installation of new lifeboats.

The three-year project has seen the team play a key part in maintaining the structural quality of key safety infrastructure onboard the end customer’s North Sea asset.

New and heavier lifeboats were recently installed aboard the platform which required an enhanced proof load to meet necessary certification standards. Working closely with the customer’s Engineering Team, Centurion Power & Equipment created bespoke procedures and test plans to support this scope, supplying Rope Access-capable Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspectors across a series of visits to conduct load testing of Lifeboat Davits.

The team also delivered an extensive array of equipment, test tools and air lines for coating removal as part of the load testing scope, providing additional specialized tarpaulins to prevent an environmental issue with debris from the coating removal entering the sea.
