CENTURION POWER & EQUIPMENT SUPPORTS URGENT CUSTOMER REQUIREMENTS

Centurion Power & Equipment (UK) recently completed an urgent request for critical inspections and testing from a customer in the marine industry completed within a tight timeframe.

Centurion was approached by a specialist engineering company requesting key lifting, inspection and installation scopes to be completed onboard a research vessel, moored on the east coast of England.

Returning from a geotechnical and environmental survey project, the vessel was scheduled to depart just 48-hours later to complete seabed surveys for Windfarm extensions off the UK’s East Anglian coast. The Centurion team coordinated efficiently to ensure the scope of work was completed in time for its departure.

The scope included performing key MPI works on structural frames for deck loading as well as Dynamic and Static Load Tests on newly mobilized equipment. The team then carried out a full Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) survey and Banksman Slinger duties, assisting with the installation of sheaves to the A-Frame of the rig onboard the vessel.
