CENTURION ACCOMMODATION & MODULAR (UK) COMPLETES LOGGING UNIT REFURBISHMENT AND RECERTIFICATION

Centurion Accommodation & Modular (UK) has successfully completed a comprehensive refurbishment and recertification of a client-owned logging unit, significantly extending its operational lifespan.

The Centurion team was commissioned to inspect and repair a logging unit for an industry leading, global services provider to traditional energy, geothermal and CCUS.

Upon inspection, extensive corrosion was found in the unit base due to a design flaw that had exposed the bottom of the structure to the elements. A complete renewal of the unit’s base was required, with Centurion Accommodation & Modular completing the work in full adherence to the original build certification standards.

In addition to the structural upgrades, the team carried out a full refurbishment of safety-critical components, overhauled the HVAC system, and thoroughly inspected and tested the ATEX equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations. On completion, an independent third-party was appointed to verify the recertification of the unit.

By extending the unit’s lifespan through refurbishment rather than disposal and costly replacement, Centurion Accommodation & Modular has helped the customer drive efficiencies, reduce waste and minimize environmental impact – upholding key principles of the circular economy.
