CENTURION FLUID FILTRATION DELIVERS CUTTING-EDGE EQUIPMENT FOR CRITICAL OFFSHORE FILTRATION SCOPE

Centurion Fluid Filtration (UK) has provided cutting-edge equipment to support a new customer’s critical operations on a North Sea vessel.

The client approached Centurion Fluid Filtration with a requirement to filter heavily contaminated cooling water from the freshwater cooling system onboard the client’s vessel. An assessment revealed the fluid, which contained NALCOOL and NALFLEET corrosion inhibitors, was out of specification, containing fine particles and rust from the closed loop system, having an adverse effect on critical functionalities of the vessel.

To resolve these issues, the team installed a Dual Vessel cartridge filter unit and Absolute Filter Cartridge consumables to tie into the main plate cooler feed / return lines on the high-temperature circuit – playing a critical role in the engine recovery and heating the vessel’s onboard accommodation.

The client saw a major improvement in just 12 hours, with the fluid returning clear in 10 days of Centurion Fluid Filtration’s support.
