CENTURION ACCOMMODATION & MODULAR (UK) AND AERIAL PLATFORMS LIMITED COLLABORATE ON SPECIALIST TANK SOLUTION

Centurion’s Accommodation and Modular business line has successfully secured and delivered a chemical tank rental contract through close collaboration with Aerial Platforms Limited (APL).

The customer required eight 10-foot chemical tanks to prevent turbulence build-up within energy infrastructure in the UK. As part of the requirements, the tanks needed insulated jackets, which involved specialist lifting and careful handling to complete safely.

To complete this task, the tanks were transferred to APL’s facility in Leigh, Greater Manchester, where the team carried out the modifications using their fleet of Mobile Elevated Work Platform equipment.

As the project progressed, evolving client requirements introduced an additional challenge. The tanks needed to be reconfigured for shipment to the United States as four 20-foot loads. This involved securely pairing the units using twist locks – which was also completed by the Accommodation & Modular and APL teams within a tight turnaround.

By leveraging cross-business capabilities, this project was completed without compromising quality, safety, or delivery schedules.
